Rain Rain Go Away...
So it's already June -I found out through facebook that an old high school friend of mine is actually still reading this, so thought...who knows who else is bored with nothing else to read. :)
So since my last post, I have gone to seek the movies with 3s after it - Spiderman 3, Pirates 3, Shrek 3, and if I were to go again, I would have gone to...um...can't really figure that one out. Probably Pirates because that was the longest awaited however, wouldn't be worth the 15.50 we paid to go see it. So if you guys are interested in watching any of these...well...wait till it comes out on DVD.
So...the past 2 weeks have been terrible in Sydney. We have experienced some TERRIBLE rains that have flooded and have killed people here in NSW. Seriously, in the 10 months we've been here, I've never seen 2 weeks of just grey weather. PLUS it's cold (cause it's winter) - okay okay, I know that this cold doesn't compare to US cold, but it's cold because the temperature just drops in the evening AND the buildings are poorly insulated. They're made so that during the summers it's cool, but during the winters freezing. Anyway, here's a flooded photo that was taken just outside of the Sydney.
Crazy huh. Well the good news is that the dams are 50% full so the rains have brought some good things with it, even though a tanker was washed up on shore, roads collapsed, thousands of umbrellas completed demolished.Otherwise things are good! Today is the first day that we've had a full clear day - minus a 30 min sprinkle. :) Work is great, friends are great, Jackson's great, and it looks like we'll be traveling not to Singapore this month, but rather up to the Gold Coast to see Jackson's parents, one brother, and his sister. Should be fun! :)
